Congress leaders successfully persuaded rebel members Jasbir Mallour and Himmat Singh to withdraw their nominations in Ambala City. In contrast, Chitra Sarwara will contest independently against her party’s candidate and BJP’s Anil Vij in Ambala Cantonment. Deepender Hooda highlighted the need for unity to ensure Congress's victory in Haryana.
